Hi, I’m Jacqueline, an occupational therapist and the creator of Wynter OT Resources. I’m a school-based OT and have worked in the school system for over 20 years. I created Wynter OT Resources to share the resources I’ve developed over the years with others who support children’s development.

School-Based Occupational Therapy Resources for Early Learners

These materials are designed to thoughtfully align skill needs with purposeful, accessible activities that can be used across everyday learning environments. I created a curated collection focused on early learners, reflecting my professional focus on foundational skills and participation during this stage of development.

I have a doctorate in occupational therapy, and I’ve spent my career helping children build the skills they need to access and participate in their educational environments. I believe skills develop best when they’re embedded in daily routines and meaningful activities that are fun and engaging, because the goal was never the skill in isolation. It’s a child’s ability to actually participate, in the classroom, at the table, in the parts of the day that matter. That belief is what led me to create Wynter OT Resources.

It started with a fish.

One day, I was watching my beta fish and noticed something: the way its mouth moved reminded me of scissors opening and closing. As a school-based OT, my mind immediately went to fine motor skills, scissor practice, and the kids I worked with every day. That one observation sparked an idea, and from there, a whole world began to take shape.

I started creating characters, each one designed to be fun, engaging, and meaningful. My sister brought them to life through her artwork, and together we built Wynter’s Bay, an underwater world filled with characters that support skill development in a way that feels like play, not work, characters that represent diverse interests and skills, just like the learners they’re created for.

Why a resource library?

Because I know what it’s like to search for resources that are developmentally appropriate, print-ready, and actually engaging for the kids in front of you. I wanted a curated collection of fine motor and learning resources that meets kids where they are and supports their growth.

Everything in the Wynter OT Resource Library and shop is thoughtfully and developmentally designed, grounded in OT expertise, and built with real classrooms, parents, and therapy sessions in mind.

Welcome to Wynter OT Resources, where Wynter’s Bay comes to life. I’m so glad you’re here.
